Press Frosted Sphere Pendant

The Press Frosted Sphere Pendant Light, designed by Tom Dixon in London, is inspired by shipping buoys and has a satisfyingly rounded linear surface. The Press is made from thick glass, with a sand blasted frosted finish which transforms the clear glass to a translucent matte texture. This effect emits a soft, glowing and warming light.

Created to be hung in multiples, or equally striking on its own, it is bold in silhouette and simple in function. Press is manufactured by dropping massive globs of molten glass at 1,200 degrees centigrade, pressed in iron moulds under tons of pressure to create immensely durable lights.
